Really interesting article regarding stress and performance.

I really enjoyed reading through this albeit briefly, and will re read it again soon! But very relevant to Parkour and what we experience through the training in building our repetois of movement and scenario experience.

That's a very interesting article, although it didn't contain too much information I haven't already heard of tbh.
However it's a good reminder that the correct preparation is important, as is our ability to adapt by knowing ourselves.

i was watching a documentary the other day about anger, and the biology in there,
it was all about why some people act out on their anger from things (murder for example)
and there were tests showing that there was a faulty area of the brain that wasn't working correctly and meant that they were acting on it, was rather interesting,
just wanted to mention that haha

surely other parts of our brain will counter this with other emotions..? like a ying yang scenario? there cannot be people who just act on anger and evil for a person to be sane enough to comprehend murder or any sort of bad or evil a balance must be present, no good without evil no smoke without fire...

or maybe i should just shut up lol

i have to say matt that i believe that there are some people that do just act on anger. kids that just hang about in the street are just like this. if you look at them the wrong way, say something that makes them feel even slightly threatened, they resort to violence and anger and want to fight you instead of just talking and working things out. i couldnt tell you why other than maybe its because a pack mentality and everyone in that group feels they have to try and prove themselves.

chemicals can affect people in different ways also, what one pint of lager does to me does something very different to others. so for example, i could get a bit drunk on one and be fine, but its not unheard of for someone to have the same amount and become very aggressive.

i think it does all depend on a number of things. things that make you who you are today. things like, how your parents bring you up, mental conditions, the groups of people you hang around with and how suseptable to you. there is peobably more but these are just to name a few.
I'll pretend like there's something witty here and you pretend like you laughed at it....
