What movements do you use?

Postby BradMoss on Sun Apr 26, 2009 5:51 pm

In an everyday situation, what do you find are the more common movements? What do you use, when, and why do you use them?

What situations have brought out what you have learnt through training?

For me -

A stepover vault to save me walking a long way around to cross a road o something.

RUNNING - To get somewhere in time, get out of a road etc...

Bending and lifting.

Running on flat or up flights of stairs, vaulting over rails or walls, climbing to retrieve things (it's happened a few times where I've had to (well, I've offered) to climb up a tree or a wall to retreive something).

Also, acrobatic movements *have* proven useful for demos such as the one at Southend and also to prevent possible abuse from groups of chavs when training by myself at night.
